Dr. Russell is a clinical psychologist, registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. He provides assessments and psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and adults, and consultation and supervision to schools, teachers and psychologists. He is a popular public speaker and is the author, with Tim Falconer, of Drop the Worry Ball: How to Parent in the Age of Entitlement.
Dr. Russell received his Ph.D. In Clinical Psychology from the New School for Social Research in New York in 1997, and then completed a two year post-doctorate fellowship at the Hincks Institute in Toronto in 1999. Dr. Russell has also completed clinical placements at the Karen Horney Therapeutic Nursery, St. Vincent’s Medical Centre, and the Toronto Hospital. His past research activities include the development and evaluation of an early intervention family therapy program serving families with children at risk, articles on children’s emotional development, and serving on the editorial board of Ideas: Emotional Well-Being in Child Care, a national journal of early childhood educators.
