Ilana Lockwood is a doctoral candidate in School and Clinical Child Psychology at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE), University of Toronto. Ilana has worked in a variety of intervention settings, completing placements at the SickKids Centre for Community Mental Health, the Family Psychology Centre, and the Toronto District School Board. She recently completed her doctoral residency at Eastern Health in St. John’s, Newfoundland.
Ilana has worked with children and adolescents (ages 3-18) presenting with a broad range of mental health concerns, including challenges related to ADHD, anxiety, autism, behaviour regulation, bereavement, depression, identity development, OCD, self-harm/suicidality, and trauma. Ilana incorporates elements of ACT, CBT, DBT, EFFT, and psychodynamic therapy in treatment, depending on clients’ needs. Ilana has particular interest and experience in family-based approaches to treatment, as she seeks to involve parents and other family members in their loved one’s care whenever possible.
